I think you’ve correctly identified the disconnect. There’s a lot of potential on the left but, as yet, they are not deemed as bringing in the ratings/clicks for the gatekeepers. And for the love of God, the DNC absolutely needs a shaking up. The default to the ‘safe’ candidate is killing the Dems.
Alpha energy is definitely not the correct word, especially while the alt-right has coined that term to control women and take away their rights. As far as ‘coach energy’, we had that with Tim Walz. Half the country refused to vote and we ended with the mess we are in.

And yes, Tim Walz is a great example of coach-style leadership. The frustrating part is he barely had time on the national stage, and the system isn’t set up to elevate leaders like him. That’s exactly the gap I'd love to see closed.

Absolutely couldn’t agree more. The DNC desperately needs a shake-up. Playing it safe is costing us big time.
